Introduction 

The final goal of the clinical examination is the correct diagnosis, which is essential for choosing of the proper method of treatment.Data ( Knowledge ) collection is a necessary condition in achieving this goal ( aim ). There are a lot of methods used in dentistry : questioning of the patient ( collection of anamnesis ) and of his/her relatives ( where necessary ), medical examination, thermo diagnostics, x-ray, different laboratory tests ( blood common test, biochemical, cytological, allergological and other tests ). A dentist usually encounters ( a big number of ) numerous dental diseases. There are about 100 therapeutic and 150 surgical dental diseases, 90 of which are different kinds of tumors. Each disease may be acute or chronic. It may be local or general, at the initial or terminal stage. Each disease has its own symptoms, which considerably complicates the work, especially with relatively rare diseases. The systems of such kind give a possibility to store the data ( knowledge about them ) despite the ( potential  ) intellectual possibilities of the dentist.

Expert System of Diagnostics of the Maxillofacial Area Diseases. 
Research Methodology 
Today, necessity of applying computer software in dentistry ( especially in diagnostics ) does not cause any doubt ( Special literature and statistical data processing improves it ). Our choice is Expert System using Artificial Intellect methods. Data ( knowledge ) basis created on the production ( rules ), frames and ( or ) ANN will definitely help dentists in exact diagnostics.
The purpose of  given research is to understand algorithms of modern, current working systems and improve our choice of the way of programming. After realization of the best suitable algorithm in programming language the first aim is to fill base of knowledge with knowledge of skilled experts in dentistry. It’ll give us possibilities to correct working algorithms in process of introduction, by a principle of a feedback. 

Hypothesis 

Overall using of this system in dental clinics will help avoiding mistakes in diagnostics and will give a complete of the patient’s medical condition.

 Research Results

The interest to this problem arose after one of the dental clinics in Tbilisi had implemented the Advising System in Diagnostics of Dental Diseases. This system is only a small part of the possible future project.
